Christmas Eve Is Here At Last
Part 2 - Christmas Music And Carols

The captivating music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed for the ballet The Nutcracker, cheerful and lyrical Christmas carols and songs, surround us during festive Christmas time.

Music is not just a beautiful and harmonious union of notes flowing into an enchanting melody, it is the voice of the composer's soul speaking to us through musical sound.

In my childhood, I was truly fortunate to study the art of playing the violin, the piano and sang as the lead soloist in the all city children's choir and then the youth choir.

My music studies were serious and of much delight to me. Specialists of the vocal department predicted a career of a singer for me, but by pure chance, a meeting with a respected professional fine artist, who in moments discovered my talent for painting, calling it rare, unexpectedly changed my life forever and the devotion to fine art, which dwelled deep in me, emerged.

In my fine art creations, music has been and shall always remain a source of unending inspiration.

My love for music is felt in every brushstroke, every line, and union of colors in my creative paintings.

In my magical painting, Christmas Eve Is Here At Last, the creation of which was inspired by the fairy tale of E.T.A. Hoffmann and the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, for the ballet The Nutcracker, with much love and attention I painted the musicians- the violinist, the flutist (flute --player), and the vocalist.

This trio is simply charming and so dear to me. With great care, I painted the musical instruments, thus expressing my deepest respect and admiration of musicians who devote their entire lives to serving music.

On the book pages of sheet music, resting by the foot of the chair, with the finest of brushes, in watercolor, carefully painted by my artist's hand, are microscopic notes of a true musical composition.

Sweet Festivities In The Fine Art Studio

This German gingerbread cookie reminds me so much  of a Russian “pryanik” cookie from my childhood. A cup of hot chocolate with a melted marshmallow and dark chocolate sprinkles. It’s the season for hot cocoa, gingerbread cookies, toasted marshmallows, festive tea parties and being merry! The holiday season is in full swing in my fine art studio, where guests are treated to a cup of hot chocolate or sit-down tea with delicious candy, pastries, sandwiches and other scrumptious desserts.  Joy to all!  A table set for a tea celebration

The Spirit Of The Christmas Holiday Season

The Splendid Christmas Tree In The Fine Art Studio For the past three days the wonderful “cold winter” California rain has been pouring outside the window, blessing us all with such a rare sight in this spectacular corner of the globe. What a real treat it is to stay in the fine art studio, where it is warm and cozy, especially surrounded by a splendid Christmas tree and ornamental holiday decorations, while listening to the music of the jolly season.   Christmas and New Year are very near!    Precious Thumbelina As a family tradition, every year my daughter and I make a new addition to our holiday ornament collection. This year, the guest of honor on our tree is the delicate and precious Thumbelina.   Starry Night Magical Santa Clause In one of our local specialty shops we discovered a magical Santa Clause with the most kind face, gorgeous beard of silky curls, wearing a fancy brocade coat, hat,...

My Recent Trip To Winter Wonderland

A room with a beautiful view- a peaceful sight from my window After sunny Southern California, which inspires my imagination with the vibrant color combinations of its landscapes, reminding me of hues on the palette of Renaissance painters, from this part of the world where even in the winter months of the year sunshine and warmth is in abundance, I travel to the other side of our globe to snowy-crystal, wintry Russia. Following a lengthy flight and landing in Moscow airport, I journey for hours through the night down a wide icy road, surrounded by vast fields and enchanting forest all dressed in white, to a city where I was born and where my loving family always waits for me. It is not possible not be inspired by such a sight, where from one snowy branch  to another plump birds, dressed in their red and yellow coats, happily hop about. Tall trees of the mighty yet romantically poetic Russian for...
